I purchased two Air Asia tickets for my friend and I since I wanted to show Kuala Lumpur to her. However, due to some inane rule imposed by our local immigration, she was not allowed to travel! So I was in a bit of a quandary since I did not know if her ticket could be refunded or not.
I talked to the FA of the flight I'd taken and he told me that if I got traveling insurance from them, it would've been possible for me to have her ticket refunded! But I didn't since I would normally just get travel insurance if I go to Europe! The FA told me that under 'Trip Curtailment Benefits', it is possible for a 'cheap' ticket fare to be refunded if it was never used! Oh well, lesson learned! Maybe I should consider getting insurance - just in case!
