Movie Review: Crazy As Messy Fun in 'Silver Linings Playbook'

 

It's really great that finally, Bradley Cooper has found the script that finally shows that he can act -that he's not just the usual Hollywood pretty boy who can deliver box-office receipts  (thanks to The Hangover franchise).  Last year, Jennifer Lawrence broke into the mainstream through The Hunger Games and this year, she extends that in a feisty role as the widow in David O. Russell's The Silver Linings Playbook.

 I recently went out with a guy who said he was bipolar and watching Silver Linings Playbook just now really kind of shook me precisely because Bradley Cooper embodied the character so fully!  It was like I was watching the guy I was going out onscreen!  It was scary and quite realistic.  Anyway, this is a Hollywood movie and everything is tied up neatly in the end but the first one and a half hour of the movie, it was a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

I did enjoy their dance sequence in the end.  Jennifer Lawrence is really sexy!!
