The Venice Film Festival or the Golden Lion is the snootiest among all the worldwide film festivals. It normally features very serious films with some of them getting Oscar awards or nominations, like Brokeback Mountain and The Wrestler.
So it's with pride that Brillante Mendoza's Sa Sinapupunan or Thy Womb was invited to compete in this year's festival. Thy Womb stars our very own superstar Nora Aunor, so I'm pretty excited how the movie turns out, considering I haven't seen Nora act for years!
