Among all the Oscar nominees in the acting category, I am most happy to see Rachel McAdams in the list!
It's amazing that the girl in all those Nicholas Sparks' novels turned movie series can actually get an Oscar nomination!
Anyhow, when she appeared in Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris, and did a good job with her role, I think it became a signal to other director's to give her a meaty role.
Spotlight is an acting ensemble movie and for her to be singled out means she really stood out.
