It's great fun to watch a musical that doesn't pretend to have any intellectual illusions or any difficult plot to uncover.
However, it would be best to have watched the film version or to have read the book first, before you join your wife or your girlfriend or your gay posse to watch 50 Shades of Grey the musical parody version.
Otherwise, you won't get 100% enjoyment as this version pokes fun at the material in all the right places! It's a good way to unwind on a weekend just before you start with all the mortifying thoughts of the Catholic Lenten season!
