2014 Women's French Open Final: My Most Favorite TV Show This Week

The epic women's final in this year's French Open is my most favorite TV show this week!  T'was great to see both Maria and Simona really fight for the prize!  It has been rare to see such fights in the women's game lately, especially in the finals of the slams.

Amazing Race Episode: My Most Favorite TV Show This Week

The second leg of the 24th season of the Amazing Race is my most favorite TV show this week.  The teams are still in Guangzhou, China, but this time, the Kentucky team, which led in the beginning of this episode, after doing the car assembling thing, lost their lead after one of the team members left his backpack behind!

Li Na's Championship Match: My Most Favorite TV Show This Week

Li Na won her second grand slam title this week!  She was in fantastic form all throughout the two weeks!  Dominika Cibulkova was also in great form but she faded in the second set.

Segurista My Most Favorite TV Fare of the Week

It's the first week of the Australian Open and my top 10 favorite shows this week are peppered with tennis matches.  Nothing memorable though.  Interestingly, it's an old 90s movie from Tikoy Aguiluz which becomes my most favorite show of the week.  I thought Segurista was just a run-of-the-mill movie.  It's actually very very good!  One of the best Pinoy movies I have ever seen!

Touching Murderer Story: My Favorite TV Show for the Week

 

This touching story of a murderer who redeems his life and turns it around is my most favorite TV show this week.  Unfortunately, the guy dies two years after he serves his sentence.  Anyhow, he redeems his life even if it was really short.

An episode of Reporter's Notebook tops my favorite TV show once again, as this week, they featured the fourth anniversary of the Maguindanao Massacre.  I am really beginning to enjoy this docu-news show since I've been a fan of this format since the days of Loren Legards's Inside Story and Che Che Lazaro's Probe Team.

Reporter's Notebook Episode on Yolanda Aftermath My Favorite Show of the Week

Soon as we got word about the terrible devastation wrecked by Typhoon Yolanda, everyone was glued to local TV trying to get as much information from them as much as possible.  That's the reason why this week, an episode of GMA-7's Reporter's Notebook is my most favorite show of the week.  I was really touched by the vignettes they showed there. It got me to watch my food intake as well.

A Nora Aunor Movie, My Most Favorite TV Show This Week

I actually have never seen the movie Bulaklak ng City Jail in its entirety, so to see the whole movie this week, was such a treat for me!  It is one of the best Filipino movies I have ever seen in my life and probably one of the best obras of the late Mario O'Hara.  The movie truly deserved all the awards it won.

The Iron Lady in HBO Tops My Favorite TV Show of the Week

 

I was able to watch The Iron Lady on DVD and I was not, at that time, too impressed with it.  However, I caught it again on HBO, while having my lunch and I was pretty hooked!  I was amazed at how Meryl Streep just loses herself into Margaret Thatcher's character!  It's amazing!  Really well-deserved Oscar win!

French Cop Show Les Bleus: My Favorite Show of the Week

I watched TV5 Monde again today and I was lucky to watch Les Bleus - that exciting French cop series which features a really hot gay cop!!  And he even had an intimate scene in this episode that I saw.  This gay cop has two lovers! Woot woot!
