It's about time someone in professional sports comes 'out'. Not an easy thing to do, especially in a testosteron-charged environment like the locker room, but we have to move on with the times. I don't know how one's sexual preferences can interfere with someone's game! So I'm really glad that Steven Davies made that announcement last week that he was gay. Cricket is not quite a very popular sport worldwide, but at the level Davies is playing, it could slowly take out the stigma that comes with one's sexuality, especially in the world of professional sports. I hope someone in the men's tennis world is brave enough to come out soon!
