My Travel Mantra - Sticking with what I know - especially on the food I eat

Unlike other travelers who are always looking to try something new, ako, I stick with what I know.

Especially with what I eat.

Even when I travel with my brother.  We eat in the same places, lalo na if our first experience was great.  We're kind of loyalists instead of adventurers.

I eat in this Chinese hole-in-the-wall carinderia type of resto every time I'm in KL.  The food is reasonably priced, it's not airconditioned, I think everyone around is speaking Cantonese and I order by pointing at the pictures.

And the food is delicious!  They have maintained the taste for more than 10 years.  Amazing!

My Guilty Pleasure in Kuala Lumpur: Delicious Chinese Food!

This is the name of the restaurant I was talking about

This is incredibly delicious! Just 10 ringgit!!

And I ate the soup with this rice, malinamnam!

This is their working area, topsy turvy but they churn out delicious food!

Well, they have pictures of their food so you can just point at what you want to eat.
I have eaten Chinese food all over the world, from the hoity toity restos to the hole-in-the-wall, but this nondescript restaurant in KL serves the most delicious soup and rice combination that I've ever tasted! Feeling ko tuloy ako si Anthony Bourdain!

This is one of my guilty pleasures and I eat here every night that I'm here in KL!! I brought Mama here already and she agrees with me as well! Yun lang, they don't speak English, so 'may-I-point" ka sa picture if you want to order, there is no airconditioning, and the patrons are just regular people dressed in pambahay so dapat cool ka lang din when you eat here para you won't stand out. I really have to thank my Malaysian friend Rodney, for forcing me to eat here, and taught me how it 'works', otherwise, I'd still be eating in KFCs or McDonald's......

Mama Navigates KLs Excellent Train System and Carinderia Food

Mama was such a trooper last night.  Even if she was tired already, she still gamely posed for a picture here in KL Sentral.

We were both famished already when we arrived in the hotel.  Mama decided to eat in the Chinese carinderia in the corner.  She found this dish delicious.  Me too!

This is their version of our humba.  Everything was similar, from the tenderness to the meat to the way na tinimpla siya!

Well, it's not a restaurant in the Ritz but it's Malaysian street food and it was delicious!

There are many tourists who come here to sample Chinese food.
