Restaurant Review: Dohtonburi Has Delicious Gyudon

After watching Kita Kita, it was but fitting to eat in a Japanese restaurant and my friends chose Dohtonburi in SM MOA.  It was my first time to eat in the place and my friends ordered Okonomiyaki, which looked like an omelette with a lot of spices and some meat.  It tasted ok.

I chose to eat Gyudon though and it was very tasty!  It was also an experience having the okonomiyaki cooked right before us!

Definitely going back here again soon!

Restaurant Review: Cozy Ambiance and Good Service at Open Table Restaurant

For my barkada's Christmas party this year, I decided to bring them to a cozy restaurant called Open Table located at #2 Dr. Lazcano St., Barangay Paligsahan in Quezon City.  It's very near the Capitol Medical Center.

We booked for a Sunday party at 5PM and the place was already ready by that time.  We reserved two tables at the second floor and throughout the night, we had the whole floor to ourselves, which was perfect!

The food is reasonably priced and it tastes good.  I think our bill just reached up to 5K and we were a group of 10 persons.  The ambiance is good and the service was very helpful.    I will definitely go back here just to treat a friend.

Another Dinner Treat at Blue Rocket Cafe

I love our area!  There are many new dining choices and one does not have to go to the mall anymore to celebrate birthdays.  

Once again, another group of friends of mine celebrated their birthdays at Blue Rocket Cafe which is near our house, just about 5 minutes drive!

I was feeling sick that day but their hot calamansi juice did wonders!  I regained my taste buds!  Now, I can eat again with gusto.

Conti's Trinoma: The Best Place to Catch Up with Friends

Since I and two of my closest friends have been very busy these past few months, we were excited to meet up again last Saturday and it was good that we picked Conti's in Trinoma since, not only do they serve delicious food and desserts at reasonable prices, their waiting staff were also courteous enough not to shoo as out since we didn't notice the passage of time.  

We stayed there for more than five hours! 

Anyhow, it was not as if we were abusing our host restaurant's hospitality as we continued ordering as the time went by, first for the lunch food and then for dessert, which culminated with us eating their original mango cake recipe!

I hope next time we visit it on our next friendly get-together, the staff will still maintain their courteous service since we kinda found a 'home' away from home in their place.

My Vask Experience

As usual, merci mille fois to you guys for a great night of interesting conversation and catching up! Never a dull moment with all your enthralling life stories!

I've been out of the loop with what restos are in or out in the Manila scene, so thanks to these guys, I was updated a bit on experiencing some of Manila's best!

Since I am a hearty eater, I would call their presentation, molecular gastronomy, as everything is in petit portions but they all taste good, and surprisingly, the squid ink risotto I had made me full na agad.

It's also one of the rare moments that I have red wine and brewed coffee and carrot and caramel cakes plus all the petit portions of beef, shrimp, squid swirling in my tummy. Burp!

Chow Down at Conti's

Conti's is starting to become one of the favorite restos of my friends and I.  We're always on the lookout kasi for a place we can chow and talk and not break our measly budgets LOL

It's affordable kasi and the food is ok naman.  Not really uber delicious but reasonable na for its price - and the ambiance is simple and cool, pwede kayo makipagkwentuhan ng matagal with your friends kasi they not only have starters, they also have main dishes hanggang dessert na, so sulit sa time and sa choices ng food.  No need to transfer to other cafes for dessert!

I may have to convert Mama, my sister, my brother and my auntie na this is one place we can eat during our Sunday get-togethers!  Di pa kasi sila sold out masyado sa food dito.
