Lunch With Andrew - One of the Smartest People I Know

Lunch with one of my long-time friends here in HK.  Andrew works for one of the top designer brands of the world and he helped me get close to Miuccia Prada when she visited here.  

He would be the inside person to talk to if you want to know how the top fashion brands are really doing, at least here in Asia and Japan.

He is also one of the most intelligent people I know so para mong kausap si Christiane Amanpour.  

Ang babaw ng pinag-usapan namin - he explained to me what Occupy Central was all about, what to see in Batavia when you visit Jakarta, the back story to Scotland's referendum, on Boris Johnson, London's current mayor on becoming the next UK Prime Minister and the current state of the world's top fashion brands.

You can really learn a lot from him!

My Favorite Ferry Ride in the World

I have ridden the Central-Tsim Sha Tsui ferry a hundred million times, but it's a ride that I always look forward to when I'm here.

One reason I took it more than the MTR was because the Fitness First gyms are just walking distances from it, whether I'm in the Kowloon or Hong Kong island side.

There is one very tall building I noticed though on the leftmost side of Kowloon. The building beside it used to be the tall one there pero my God, na-dwarf na siya!

My Daily Bus Ride Home

My daily bus ride home. To those who are not familiar with the buses in HK, all their buses here are double deckers, very similar to what you find in London.

So my favourite seat, lalo na pag wala pang tao is the front seat in the upper deck. Make sure lang na to wear the seat belt kasi muntik na ako mauntog before e, kasi the bus can make sudden stops.

I decided to do that as well so I would be able to memorize all the stops before my bus stop. I actually enjoy the bus ride e. Yun lang, if the MTR station here opens next year, that would be faster and more convenient. Wala lang ngang scenery.

My Impressive Flat in Hong Kong

This is now where I live for the meantime here in Hong Kong. It's a big step up from where we used to live in Sheung Wan.

It's in the Kowloon side towards the east in Kowloon city. The flat has a fantastic view of the Kowloon skyscrapers and just a bit of the Hong Kong island skyline.

And I love the cut of the flat! I swear the SM condos look more like coffins than flats. The designers of SM's condos should observe how the HK developers cut their condos. Maliit lang pero the flow of the air and the light is amazing.

Good news is they're building an MTR line just below us, yippeee!!

While Manila's MRT transport is in a deep quagmire, just like in other more developed cities here in our side of Asia, their governments are constantly adding stations to their existing public train transport.

Dim Sum Dinner at my Choi Hung Flat

Tonight, I tried this dim sum resto in the first floor of my flat at Choi Hung.  I ordered chicken with rice and these beef balls pero matabang pala sila.  That just means we put a lot of salt into our food in Manila!
