Tim Burton's movie universe is always a unique thing to experience - and he has done it movie after movie after movie. His new movie, Dark Shadows is no different. It is as quirky, funny and malevolent as all the other pictures he had done before. His homage to the 70s is spot on although frankly, it would take someone who actually lived in that period, to find out if he did everything right.
As for me, don't miss this movie! It's not slapstick comedy but it has many funny moments. It has vampires, werewolves and witches - well, even our TV has these characters nowadays - but they are nonthreatening and even have human virtues! You will surely enjoy it - and I'm sure by now, you won't be surprised by the little quirks that pepper a Tim Burton movie.
If you want to see a classic Tim Burton movie - I have two words for you - Edward Scissorhands!
