The Franco brothers certainly have that brooding hot look in their family - and younger brother Dave also has lots of it! He plays the bad guy in the comedy 21 Jump Street but he's actually pretty harmless. Unfortunately, he does not have any shirtless scenes in this movie - so does Channing - and it's a pity really. Two sexy guys in one movie wasted. Anyhow, the movie is a lot of fun to watch so I'm sure you'll enjoy it too!
There's a funny scene in 21 Jump Street where Channing Tatum does something with his tongue. It's a pretty hilarious scene but on hindsight, makes you want to have tongue action with him too! Oh, all the kinky thoughts that go to one's head - even if it were just an ordinary comedy scene! Well, that scene can make up for the lack of shirtless action from Mr. Tatum from this movie. I guess his next movie, Magic Mike, will make up for it.
I can't believe that the girl in United States of Tara, the one who plays the daughter of Toni Collette's character - is the same girl I saw yesterday in 21 Jump Street! My, my, my, how big she's grown! She's really a lady now! I didn't immediately recognize that it was her!
Anyway, I remember her in that TV series because of her rebellious streak - but in this buddy comedy, she plays the love interest of a much slimmer Jonah Hill. She's also one of the cool girls in school!
Jonah Hill obviously lost a lot of weight when he was doing 21 Jump Street. When I saw him in Moneyball earlier this year, he was still really big - especially when he had to don those suits. This time around though, you could see his weight loss in his face, although in some scenes he looks big, while slimmer in some other scenes. He does look hilarious in that scene when he goes to school looking like Eminem! Jonah Hill as the blonde boy with braces! Look suits him well!!
Actually, it's fine that the movie version of 21 Jump Street has no resemblance whatsoever to the iconic TV series that launched the career of the then unknown actor, Johnny Depp. Putting a comedy spin into the mix and enlisting Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as the two detectives reenergizes the franchise for today's young generation. I really enjoyed watching the movie - although the plot is simple and not complicated. This is targeted to the young male audience anyway, and it doesn't have to be Goodfellas. However, like any action movie, it does have many chase scenes and bad guys doing bad things and the victims here are high school students. I strongly suggest that you watch this movie especially after you had a not-so-good day in the office. Both guys are hilarious here and it's light fare that you will certainly enjoy.
