FABE Magazine Launch: Before the Show Pictures

Usually, people just see the show and don't really have an idea as to what happens before the show.  Well, we took some pictures before the show so you can see that staging a show like this takes a lot of hard work and practice (without aircon yan ha!).  Call time was 1PM and the show started around 8:30PM.  Just another day in the office!

Why I Rarely Read Self-Help Books

Whenever I meet a new friend, sometimes the conversation turns to what books we are currently reading and most of the time, their list would always include self-help books (although Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist is a novel, it actually reads like a self-help book), a genre which I normally do not bother to browse for the simple reason that since I read fiction, I learn all my self-help knowledge from how the characters of these books I'm reading face the dilemmas and deal with the problems that are dealt to them.  In my experience, I find it more interesting and in a way, I could learn more from the character rather than reading advice from a self-help book.  I actually find reading the latter a bit tedious. 

FABE Magazine Launch: Gowns Galore from DREZZEE

Drezzee has been a FABE partner for several years now, and for the magazine launch last Saturday, they were there once again, showing off their latest collection.  This brand continuously changes the styles and designs of their gowns and their work here looked fabulous and well put-together!

Will Smith Movie Tops My Most Favorite Show This Week

 

It's been another bumper week of good and interesting shows, at least for me.  Here are my favorite TV shows for the week ending November 9, 2012 -

#1 Star Movies - The Pursuit of Happyness

#2 Bio - Marisa Tomei

#3 Universal - Criminal Intent - I love this show!  This is actually the first episode I've seen of this show where Vincent D'Onofrio discovers that the killer he's investigating might have been his father.  Que horror!

#4 Universal - Criminal Intent - Chris Noth aka Mr. Big plays a detective in this story and it's another interesting one wherein the girl he dates in one night, kills herself the night after!

#5 Velvet - A Gifted Man- Patrick Wilson plays a doctor in this series and the episode I watched was interesting since one of his patients here dies of rabies!  I did not know rabies, when symptomatic can lead to death within 24 hours!

#6 Bio - Celebrity Ghost Stories - Paulina Porizkova is one of the storytellers of this episode that I saw.  She had a very scary story!

# 7 Bio - Celebrity Ghost Stories - Tempestt Bledsoe of The Cosby Show was one of the storytellers of this episode.

#8 Lifestyle - What Not to Wear- another episode I loved watching - the girl they chose wanted to be a journalist but she loved wearing rock chick clothes

#9 Star Movies - Unstoppable - an exciting train action movie with Chris Pine and Denzel Washington - grabe, heartstopping talaga because of all the trains!

#10 AXN - Amazing Race 21 - The race continues and the Monster Truckers are eliminated...nagtrain kasi instead of riding the taxi, mga shonga talaga!

FABE Magazine Launch First Issue with John Spainhour

Ever since we were young, my brother and I had always wanted to have our own magazine and finally, that dream has come true.  It took a confluence of events to happen to make this dream come true!  Anyway, the launch party will be this Saturday and our cover boy, John Spainhour, will be there to say hello to all of you guys!
